It was Saturday which meant it was time to bake a cake…
And this time I wanted it to be full of chocolate.
Together with Isabelle and William we made this sensational Chocolate Fudge Cake..


60g butter
1dl sugar
1/2 dl cocoa
Pinch of salt
1tsp vanilla sugar
1 egg
1dl flour
1/2 tsp baking pwd

Chocolate truffle topping:
1 dl whipping cream
100 g dark 70% chocolate
50g butter
2 tbsp espresso coffee or 2tsps Nescafe powder

Chocolate coffee beans
or pearl sugar
or coconut flakes

Preparation Method:
Pre-heat oven to 175 degrees celsius.
For the cake:
Melt butter in a pot.
Add sugar, cocoa, salt, vanilla sugar, egg and mix well.
As last add flour mixed with baking powder and mix all well.
Butter and flour your baking form and pour you mixture in.
Place it in the middle of your oven and bake for 20min.

In the meantime prepare your chocolate topping:
Bring your cream to boil.
Turn the heat of and add your chocolate and butter which will melt in the hot milk.
Stir it well add your coffee and make sure it dissolves completely.
Let it cool down a bit stirring it occasionally.
When the cake has cooled down spread your chocolate truffle on the cake.

Decorate with sugar or coffee beans or coconut and let it cool down in the fridge.
